DTF Warehouse Metallic & Effects DTF Film

Anyone with a DTF printer can use our Metallic & Effect DTF Film.

The process is simple and works just like standard DTF PET film — print directly onto the metallic film, then powder, cure, and press.

The printing process varies slightly depending on the type of DTF metallic or effect film you’re using:

Silver Metallic Film:

For the best shiny silver metallic finish, print with white ink only at 70%.

You can print normal colour, but this will affect how the silver finish appears.

Gold Metallic Film:

For best results, print a gold or black-coloured layer. The film will add the shiny metallic effect, creating a premium gold finish.

After your first press, gently use a soft sponge to remove the excess gold from around the edge & in between unwanted areas, use a lint roller to remove the excess gold flecks off the garment then apply your second press.

Use 70% White ink level.

Rose Gold Metallic Film:

For best results, print a rose gold-coloured layer. The film will enhance it with a shiny metallic rose gold effect.

Use 70% White ink level.

Chameleon Film:

Print any full-colour design as normal. The film adds a blue, glittery shimmer effect over the design for an eye-catching finish.

Use 70% White ink level.

All of our metallic & effect films are cold peel for best results.

Press with heavy pressure for 15 seconds at 165°C.

After pressing, allow the film to rest for around 15–20 seconds, or until it is completely cool to the touch.

Once fully cooled, peel the film away firmly from the garment in one smooth motion.

A second press is usually not required apart from on specific films where specified like gold metallic film.

Yes, you can layer Metallic DTF Film with standard DTF PET Film to create colourful designs with a mix of metallic and full-colour effects.

You must, press the metallic layer first using your films specific pressing instructions.

Once complete, apply and press the standard DTF PET film layer on top as the second layer.
