How to change to our ink

Step 1:
Power off and unplug your DTF Printer.

Step 2:
Use a syringe to carefully extract and remove the old ink directly from the ink tanks.

Step 3:
Carefully remove the dampers one at a time. To clear out any remaining ink, attach a syringe to the damper and gently pull back on the plunger until all ink has been fully extracted from both the damper and the connected lines.
Step 4: (optional)
It’s recommended to flush the ink lines with a cleaning or flushing solution to ensure all traces of the old ink are thoroughly removed. We also strongly suggest replacing the dampers when switching to a new ink.

Step 5:
Fill your ink tanks with Epic Transfers by DTF Warehouse DTF Ink. Avoid filling the tanks to the very top, be sure to leave at least half an inch of space from the top to prevent overflow or pressure issues.

Step 6:
Next, attach a syringe to each damper and gently prime it by drawing ink through until all air is removed and the damper is fully filled with ink. Be sure to use a new damper for each ink colour to prevent cross-contamination. To minimize waste, return any ink drawn into the syringe back into the corresponding ink tank.

Step 7:
Perform a nozzle clean followed by a nozzle check to ensure the ink is flowing properly through the dampers.
